February Newsletter: Heart Healthy

February is American Heart Month and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s time to get our hearts in tip top shape in order to spread the love we have for our family and friends!

Who would’ve thought that February, being the shortest month of the year, could end up being so busy!? This month, stay in shape and get your kids to do it with you. Make a 3 week promise between you and your kids and end the month happier, healthier and reconnected to your family!

I know what you’re thinking… “Easier said than done!” But I know you can do it and I’ll be doing it with you! KeriCure staff started a 28 week weight loss challenge this month thanks to Fit Girl and are so excited to see what kind of progress we can make in this short, perfectly timed month for the challenge. But you don’t have to start a program or go on a crazy diet to get Heart Healthy with your family…

Since February is American Heart Month, your kids should already be getting into the spirit of things, thanks to their teachers and PE coaches! Primary Schools around the nation are kick starting their healthy habits this month! Remember when you were in school and we had an entire week dedicated to getting our hearts pumping? We had Jump for Heart, Fun Runs and Walk-A-Thons; it was a fun (or dreaded…) week at school, but it got our butts out there and moving!

Be a part of the movement and take advantage of the time you have and turn it into a workout and a heart to heart session between you and the kids! Need ideas on how to get your kids involved in some cardio? Here’s an article by the Huffington Post, 14 ways to get kids exercising, for some great tips and tricks for getting you and your family active!

Wear RED this month and wear it proud. 2015 is the 51st year we celebrate American Heart Month and continue our fight against the #1 killer in America. We’re so excited about starting our Blog and we couldn’t have picked a better Month to begin! To show our appreciation to all our followers for being a part of our blog, we’re having a Blog Launch Promo just in time for you to get active and healthy! Just enter promo code HeartHealth at checkout for 15% off your entire order! And as always, free standard shipping on all orders (a $4.25 savings!).

Get active, Get healthy, Get your heart pumping and most of all Keep Calm and KeriCure On!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

New Year, New You!

Here at KeriCure headquarters we are trying to start the year off right. As part of our healthy living initiative we have started a daily 30-minute walk for all of our employees and interns. An important part of our healthier living initiative is our diet; we have all decided to change our eating habits. What better way to eat healthier then by incorporating fruits and vegetables in some delicious smoothies? I received a Nutribullet for Christmas and am trying out some tasty, healthy recipes!
